Tore my rotator cuff in two, very painful and very limited mobility or else the pain would be almost unbearable. Started on BPC-157 AND the results were nothing short of amazing! A mere 36 hrs later I noted greatly reduced .pain when moving the left arm to do basic daily tasks such as pulling up my pants and putting my shirt on and my coat on. The longer I took BPC 157 the greater my mobility and now 7 days after wh ile taking bpc 157, almost no pain, YES I HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I've taken the Wolverine stack 3 weeks ago for pain management and what a AWESOME difference it has made. But for post recovery I order the KLOW stack. I feel very confident in the recovery process moving forward knowing the difference these peptides will make. Such a God Send

😂 Okay, full disclosure — I’m a 66-year-old female, so I’m not exactly your target audience, but I’m loving your content and just hit subscribe anyway! I’m a former medical professional who still teaches Barre classes 7-8 hours a week (lots of bodyweight and light weights, no powerlifting here). A few years ago I had a 7 mm tear in my left rotator cuff. My ortho friend wanted to operate, but I said “hard pass” after hearing about the recovery and went the PT route instead. A brilliant 92-year-old retired physician taught me some exercises… six months later I was pain-free and a year later the imaging showed the tear was gone. Wild, right? Fast-forward to three months ago: I tore the RIGHT rotator cuff. Same PT protocol, but this time it wasn’t cutting it. So I did some research, found a very reputable peptide company, and ordered the Wolverine stack + KLOW for the copper. (Let’s be honest, I was also hoping for some skin-aging bonus points 😉) Skeptical at first? Absolutely. But the results were ridiculous — the intense pain disappeared almost immediately. Within two weeks I had full range of motion and zero pain again. Even the years of built-up inflammation in my hands calmed down so much that my wedding ring started sliding off! 😂 Had to get it resized — true story. Peptides aren’t magic, but they sure felt like it. Just make sure you go with a legit company. Highly recommend giving them a try if you’re dealing with stubborn injuries! Keep up the great work, Doc! 👏

Tried BPC 157 strips that are like those breath strips. $185 didn’t work at all for me, tried the pills; 30 days supply and and 90% no pain, lasted a couple months pain is starting to return now. I have been using the Wolverine blend since I tore my rotator cuff. It helped heal my injury. I couldn’t lift 15 lbs dumbbells without pain. I can now bench 290 lbs without pain and I avoided surgery. I have been using other peptides that have helped cure my autoimmune diseases. I was diagnosed with hashimoto’s and took Synthroid for over 20 years. My thyroid is back to normal, no more meds. I believe this was due to taking terzepitide. Currently, I take Reta in a microdose 1x per week.

Bro BPC-157 100% works. I healed a torn rotor cuff. 10 years of pain. Gone in 2 weeks. There's thousands of anecdotal reports including Joe rogan, Andrew huberman. Saying we don't know if it works is pure nonsense. Clinical trials cost MILLIONS to run and can't be patented. Why would they do the studies when it can be bought for £22 on peptide websites. There's no money to be made for them. You came across with pure ignorance in this video.

As someone who has fixed their own rotator cuff with bpc-157, intramuscular injection is what you need. It definitely isn't for everyone. Look into where bpc-157 comes from and it's original function in the body. It is a very much localized repair.

I had a tear according to scans. I was told I needed surgery. I couldn't do a press-up even supported by my knees. Couldn't raise my arm abive my head properly. Tried resting it for months at a time, but it would not heal. Had it a couple of years. Took BPC157 for 6 weeks during 2020 1st lockdown. After 6 weeks, it felt like not much had changed. Then, 1 month after stopping use, I reached up to get something off a high shelf and felt no pain, and had full ROM. Now able to lift very heavy with it Eg 160kg bench. No recurrence 5 years down the line. Anecdotally, yes, it can heal torn rotator cuffs.

I have a huge tear in my rotator cuff that i was told might have to be fixed using a cadaver. I was in a lot of pain, and used Salonpas patches to sleep and exercise. I got BPC 157 after I had my knee replaced, but due to the swelling had a hard time getting the needle into the skin. So i switched to injections in and around my injured shoulder. It has helped in a huge way, in reducing pain not only while sleeping but exercising and golfing. The key is to take it every day religiously.

BPC157 and TB500 repaired my rotator cuff in 5 weeks. On Jan 4th we scheduled the surgery, on Feb 12th I went under the knife. They fixed the tiny labrum rip. They shaved down the bone spur. And then they did NOT do any surgery on the tear which was no longer there. My surgeon had to call in his #2 from another Op-room to make sure the tear from the MRI was no longer present. It wont help a tear that is detached. It may help a tear that has at least some blood flow and not detached from bone. Good luck to everyone. Dr Geier you are a great benefit to all.

I tore my rotator cuff and labrum but not fully and requiring surgery. I sat for a month with absolutely no progress on healing, though on my 6th day of my bpc protocol i was surfing again. This stuff really works and it has healed my friends ankle from overuse during his ironman race (6 weeks after breaking his ankle). I’m excited to see this become publicly available and more widely used. Incredible stuff.

I am not having any bad reactions, my gut health is fantastic which is a bonus, my feet omg they feel great snd i work as warehouse manager during the day ( 8hrs) and ups at night ( loading trailers) so i work a ton! I had torn rotator cuffs ( both sides) which i treated with PrP injections and the sports medicine place i went to said the only thing that could improve the results would be Testosterone to which i qualified for TrT as my levels were @180 as a 40 yr old . I stsrted with pelleting but my levels would go up to 1400 and then drop dramatically so i switched to weekly shots which keep me between 700-900. I was feeling great but beat up from constant wear and tear and the TrT dr. i go to recommended bpc157 but tried selling me the oral which was like 150$ a month which i cannot afford. I did research online and all the " bigger guys " im 6"5 210 pounds recommended do stomach injections. And 250ml a day or x2 a day ,but to also do a full 5mg bottle on 1 shot and then micro doae the 250 -500ml a day? I thought that was crazy not knowing if i would have side effects so i started the 250 and increased to 500ml. I didn't know it effected your mood and i have 💯 been way more mellow on the trt then i was before the bpc which is another unintentional good side effect but im waiting on the knee pain which is getting horrible again with cold weather as i have bruisitis and tendonitis in my arms in which the one arm its gone down to my thumb , actually in both but the one feels better. Ive been on for a solid month now , im glad I saw the videos saying it does not matter if you shoot into the spot of pain as i didnt want to look like a heroin addict with track marks on my arms!!! But im wondering if i need to increase the dose, try new source ( peotide tech is where i ordered but they had good reviews) of if i need to just keep going with it. Or if i just work too much!!! But not working is NOT AN OPTION. I see people recommend the bpc157 combo with that 500 stuff? Should i press on? Is that massive monthly shot just a horrible idea? Please 🙏 help me out. As i said im definitely getting results , i get my blood work done every 2-3 months and my kidney function/ blood flow and all that is fantastic since starting. I just need recovery! I only can sleep 4-5 hours a night though but i have option to nap for an hour or two during the day but another thing i noticed is im not napping or wanting to as much the past week or so which is about the 1 month mark? Any information or advice eould be great im so worried about the winter coming with the brusitus as im in northern Illinois and the swings in temp for below freezing to above literally make me wanna cry in the morning Thanks

Not necessarily. People can totally rehab a partial tear and have full function for decades after w/o surgery. All subjective. "A 50% (or high-grade) partial rotator cuff tear is unlikely to heal on its own, as tendons have limited blood supply, but it can often become asymptomatic with conservative treatment. While the physical gap may not close, physical therapy and lifestyle modifications can significantly reduce pain and restore function without surgery."

I had a supraspinatus partial tear that I dealt with for a few years without surgery, eventually it just got unstable with random overhead movements, I’d feel decent for a few months and then a shoulder snag and I’d be unable to use my arm much for a week. Cycle would continue that way. Surgery wasn’t nearly as bad as people make it out to be (although the PT after is brutal) 6 months post op and feeling nearly 100% if your a gym person definitely get the surgery cause supraspinatus tears typically get worse over time. On another note, I never gave myself more than 2 months away from the gym so who knows how much the other tendons could have strengthened and compensated for the tear had I really given myself 6 months off and some PT.

I had partial supraspinatus tears about 10 years ago (at 55 years old) from overdoing the P90X workout. I was SURE that I would need surgery after the cortisone shots only provided temporary relief. My Dr (who also worked with the Kansas City Royals) told me that PT might get my RC back to normal. I found a great PT, and after several months, I was amazed to be pain free and able to get back to weightlifting, pushups, pull-ups, running, biking, snowboarding and all my other normal activities.

HELP - Rotator cuff surgery
Hello, I recently got an MRI and will be having surgery soon. How bad is this? How slow is the recovery? Does anyone have experience with peptides for recovery? If so, which ones? EDIT: Male 36, healthy, active, sports, gym, etc. IMPRESSION: 1. Minimally retracted grade 3 full-thickness avulsion tear of the distal supraspinatus tendon at its humeral tuberosity insertion with associated generalized tendinosis and intrasubstance/articular surface partial tear critical zone. 2. Tendinosis and/or intrasubstance versus articular surface partial tear, infraspinatus tendon. 3. Type 1-2 SLAP lesion. 4. Low-grade bicipital tenosynovitis. 5. Subdeltoid/subacromial bursitis. 6. Subacromial outlet diminution as above. Clinical correlation for rotator cuff impingement syndrome recommended. 7. Small glenohumeral joint effusion Post surgery edit: Surgery 4 days ago and the cup is half full and positive. Pain is super manageable! I waited until the numbness started to wear off on my fingers to take my first narcotic pill. Nerve block was around 8am and took Oxy that night around midnight because I started feeling my arm. I took it every 8ish hours and then stopped to only a night pill to help with the sleep discomfort. The recliner was the best investment and I highly recommend it!!! I bought one of those that recline all the way but also help you stand up. Did PT on day 2 and 4 post ops and already have great motion but will continue with the movement based exercises for at least 3 weeks. I take the sling off at home and try to stand up straight and do pendulum swings and shoulder blade exercises. Everyone is different but I am looking at things optimistically here. I started my bpc157/tb500 treatment today to help speed things up. I plan on doing daily for at least 1 month. I don't plan on doing the Laser wavelength treatment, for now... I had extensive rotator cuff repair on the top one and the SLAP repair so I have that extra ugly armpit incision.

It's not always like that it depends on your pain tolerance. I was. 31 at the time of my injury. Dislocated my shoulder torn my subscapularis it was completely torned of the bone and had 2,5 cm retraction and a 2.5 cm supraspinatus tear and biseps was out of the groove so surgeon cut it through and reatched it. I stopped all my pain meds after 2 weeks surgeon was shocked about it. But my advice is look for a physical therapist who is specialized in shoulders and not a random general physical therapist. Even with not much pain de recovery will be slow, so you need a lot of patience, for me the worst part was after 6 weeks finally released from the sling and was still unable to use my arm at al. It took me a year to recover to the point it was not affecting my daily life anymore. Now 2 years later I have 95 % range of motion back the only thing that is not the same as before the surgery is strength in specific directions and than especially directions that involves the subscapularis. But it does not affect my daily life so it's not a problem for me.

I had a medium size tear repaired six months ago and it wasn't that bad. I had a nerve block before surgery, opiods for two days after surgery, and then Tylenol and Ibuprofen for about another week. My pain level was never really that bad, maybe at most a 3 on a a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the worst. In my opinion, the worst part of this is having to wear a sling for four to six weeks. I was lucky that I only had to wear mine for four. I don't have any experience with peptides. I'm also back in the gym working out. I'm using a lot less weight now so I'm concentrating on my form instead. I plan to take it slow until I'm a year out. So long answer short, it's not that bad but a complete recovery can take up to a year. Feel free to DM me if you have any other questions.

8 week post surgery check up!
I had surgery July 17th. I had bicep tenodesis, supraspinatus reattached, infraspinatus repaired, and labrum debrided. My surgeon did prp in rotator cuff area immediately post surgery, they always do it and I was still under when it was done. For the 2 days after surgery I had PT by my surgeons surgery center. They taught my wife how to move my arm and she did it on a daily basis for first 2 wks. I rented a gameready ice machine for the first 2 wks as well, it really helped. Post surgical pain was only bad when I didn't take my pain meds day after surgery and I got behind and couldn't sleep til 130am. After that pain was easily managed with percoset prescription and Tylenol. Didn't need narcotics after 4 days. I iced my shoulder about 4 times a day with the game ready machine. I slept in a recliner I bought off Facebook marketplace. Sleep wasn't great first couple wks. At the 2 week checkup I was told everything was going well. I went to their physical therapist and was told to do the movements 2 times a day and shown how to do them myself with a rod. I was told to start taking my arm out of the sling for a few hrs a day as long as pain didn't get bad. I only wore sling after 4 wks to play pickleball with unrepaired arm. I started going to the gym everyday to do about an hour of cardio a day, trying to maintain a heartrate of about 120-15 bpm for an hr. I immediately started sleeping better. Week 3 I started once a week with my physical therapist. I started more pendulums, an table slides. Around wk 5 wall walks were added, as well as scapular pushup. Wk 6 started external rottion with lightest band on repaired arm. Wall walks became much easier as I kept doing them and I could easily get my surgically repaired arm straight up wall while facing it around wk 7. At 8 wk checkup they did ultrasound to make sure repair was working and healing. Surgeon moved my arm around and asked if I had any pain, which I didn't. He said I was doing great and told me I could expand pt, adding resistance and more exercises. At my physical therapy appt yesterday I gave my pt the surgeons recommendations and he added several new resistance exercises to do every other day:internal and external rotation with light band 3 sets 10-15 concentrating on form, counter push ups, cable concentration curls, cable triceps extensions, cable hammer curls and some exercises raising my arms to the side with my feet on the corner of floor/wall while belly on exercise ball, I was also cleared to start using elliptical machine as another cardio option. I have my final checkup with my surgeon in 6 wks. The whole time I have been eating well and taking basic supplements. Week 3 I started on some peptides bpc157 250mcg daily and tb500 500mg every other day. I have been extremely diligent in my physical therapy. I ha e to stop myself from trying to do more as I know it is too risky. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel! I am confident I made the decisions I have made so far!

be careful folks. i am right handed and had a left shoulder subacromial decompression surgery with partial tear of supraspinatus repaired. I went back to pickleball at 3 months thinking my non dominant shoulder which was pain free and had excellent rom would be fine. nope ..one day did something to the nondominant shoulder playing and had sudden pain. ortho ordered mri that showed larger supraspinatus tear. no pball for another couple months and slowly improved with no surgery. 100% in the left shoulder now. Lesson …be careful if trying to playing with non dominant hand as can still have awkward movement of dominant operated arm. i am a 3.68 dupr player before my surgery i will be going back slowly this time around. if you have a type 3 acromion with a downward hook appearance…..no amount of pt or exercises is going to open up that crowded anatomic space. you are just slowly further “chewing “ up the rotator cuff. better to bite the bullet and have surgery

I did peptide injections for 6 weeks, starting on day 2 after surgery. Not sure if they helped, but I'm M 67 (6'1" 175 lbs) so I figured they couldn't do any harm. BPC 157, TB500, GHK-CU, and CJC-1295 + Ipamorelin. I believe that the peptides definitely helped my tendons heal, as my doctor was worried about re-tears given my age and the extent of my injury. It seemed like I made a lot of progress quickly when I was finally allowed to start strengthening at 12 weeks. In addition to peptide injections, I also took 1000 mg Vitamin C, Glucosamine-Chondroitin-MSM supplements, and 2 scoops of collegen peptide powder in my morning OJ to stimulate joint healing. Your body also needs plenty of protein when recovering from surgery, so I added a scoop of protein powder to my yogurt daily. I had two full thickness tears, (one with retraction), partially torn labrum, and partially torn biceps tendon. (I fell on my shoulder while skiing.) I'm now at 7 months post-op. No pain, but I don't quite have full range of motion, and I'm still working on strengthening in the gym. Can't do a bench press, push-up, or pull-up yet. I've started assisted pull-ups and I do a lot of dumbbell exercises, plus most of the stretches and exercises that I did at physical therapy. Medicare cut me off of PT after going for 6 months, twice a week. No longer "medically necessary". BS, but it is what it is.

I’ve never noticed any real benefit from BPC-157, and hasn’t seemed worth the effort to continue. What I DO think has helped, is Mk-677. It increases your HGH levels and I think it has been a massive help. I’ve had both rotator cuffs surgically repaired 9 months apart (right in January, left in October) and my PT says my shoulder recoveries are the best she’s seen in her 15 years of practice.

BPC / TB helped me with my recovery from RC surgery roughly 2yrs ago. I now have a full tear on my other shoulder which I will eventually need to get repaired. I’m doing another 8 week cycle to see if I get any improvement in the shoulder or other nagging aches and pains. I’m about 1.5 weeks in. Prior to my first surgery the injury was really effecting my quality of life. Hurting all the time. Hard to sleep, get dressed, etc. With this injury I can do 85% of what I want to do and it’s in my non-dominant harm. So while I have to modify some of my activities, I can be more selective in terms of when I have the surgery done.

I took BPC-157, TB500, GHK-Cu, and CJC-1295 + Ipamorelin injections for 6 weeks after surgery. I believe they contributed to a successful recovery, but I have no way to know for sure. The peptides were prescribed by a functional doctor, not my surgeon. I also used collegen peptide powder, protein powder, and took chondroitin-glucosamin, vitamin C, vitamin D, and vitamin E supplements to promote healing after surgery. M 67. I had a full thickness tear of my supraspinatus tendon, full thickness tear with retraction of my infraspinstus tendon, partially torn labrum, and distended and partially torn long head biceps tendon. (I fell skiing.) "Massive" injury per my surgeon. The first 2-3 months were tough, but I made a "full" functional recovery by 12 months. I'm now 15 months post op. No pain, 95% range of motion, and my strength is continuing to return. I'm back to doing bench presses, push-ups, and assisted pull-ups as part of my workouts. (I was only allowed to lift 1 lbs for 12 weeks, as my surgeon was worried about re-tears at my age.)

I had 2 RC surgeries last year, same shoulder. One with and one without. I definitely could tell a difference in the more rapid onset of healing after the second surgery, much more severe issue than the original surgery.Used BPC-157/GHKU/KPV/TB500 3mg-10mg-3mg-3mg/mL (5 mL vial). HOWEVER, I obtained it through a functional medicine doctor and a local compound pharmacy.

I'm 4 weeks out. I can honestly say I never had one minute of pain after surgery. It was a very involved surgery, full thickness tear, bicep involved and severe arthritis. I read all the stories and couldn't believe I wasn't hurting more. The sling has caused some neck issues, which makes it rough to sleep. I had the best surgeon in ATL. So I wonder if that's why. Shoulders are all he does. I wish you the best!! It is misery being in this straight jacket (sling) but compared to others I know I can't complain. I started PT yesterday, but they went pretty easy on me, for now 😳 come here to whine anytime.

3.5 month post, my protocol
Small full thickness supraspinatus tear and bicep tenodesis 46m. Wore sling for about 3-5 days then went sling free. Took bpc 157 and tb500 and kpv daily. Did about 10 hyperbaric chambers with oxygen mask in my first month. Started light weight rows and pull downs at week 3. Pt pushed me very fast and aggressively. I played my first round of golf this week with about 90 percent swings. Cleared to surf this weekend, just careful on duck dives. This is a complete difference to my right which I had done 4 years ago. That was large tear with Supra and subscap. Didn’t golf for 5 months, didn’t feel good for 9-12. I also didn’t do any of the other things I added above. I also treated it like a porcelain doll for too long which really hurt my recovery. My advice, listen to your doctor and pt. But try to push in a smart way and try the hbot in the first month. The peptides can’t hurt.

I had a debridement done instead of partial tear repair. Lots of pain as I recall after. Protocol was immediate movement to avoid frozen shoulder. But it eventually felt much better and I have good strength and excellent ROM in that shoulder. Now I’m one month out from full tear repair on the other shoulder. The full tear repair hurt much less afterwards. I was 🫤 about the slow expected return to weightlifting. My coach has me doing belt squats which have been good and high volume rather than heavier weights on anything upper body. We’re going to try some back squats next week with safety bar. OP, are you not back at gym at all?

Sounds like you may have grounds for a malpractice suit🤷🏾‍♀️You likely will need to have it repaired again, but with a reputable surgeon who is board certified in orthopaedic surgery and works with the shoulder specifically. I don't understand why your surgeon operated on it if you were only having minimal pain, which resolved with rest. I'm 12 weeks post op from a repair of my supraspinatus rotator cuff (80% torn, almost full thickness, acromial shaving and decompression, shoulder manipulation due to adhesive capsulitis and biceps tenotomy). I'm only having minimal pain, mostly after PT, still healing and it's much better than what it was pre-op. My surgeon was very conservative, didn't even start PT until 3 weeks post op. He's listed on this website, Harrison Solomon. Your surgeon should specialize in shoulder surgery. https://www.montgomeryorthopaedics.com/providers/our-doctors/52/Harrison_Solomon,_M.D.,_F.A.A.O.S. This link will allow you to search for and look up the credentials of your surgeon. https://www.abos.org

Had 2 shoulder surgeries last year First surgery March 2024, after MUA in June 2024 caused all new more serious issues. I was defeated as well. Second Surgery August 2024 ( full tear supraspinatus with retraction, bicep tenodesis, slap tear). After the 2nd surgery I used BPC-157/GHKU/KPV/TB500. I do believe it did help! With a much worse injury where my surgeon pretty reconstructed my shoulder, in spite of being ZERO movement for 7 full weeks I progressed much faster that the first surgery.

These are very similar to what my physical therapist has taught me. I had the surgery because I had a complete tear with retraction. The way I learned the first exercise was to get into the position and rest my arm on a yoga block for 20 minutes. At first I was only able to get 60° rotation back, but after 3 months of daily exercise, I can rest my hand 90° on the floor. This exercise is crucial to aligning the muscles and holding the shoulder in the correct position. To me, it was key in my recovery.

I torn my supraspinatus and labrum back at the end of April (partial tear). I went to traditional physical therapy and saw no improvement. I paid for his rotator cuff program on Black Friday with the sale and just in this short amount of time I have stopped having pain and night and am seeing better ROM. So happy that I found him and committed to his program! I feel like I kept re-injuring my shoulder with the other exercises so now I am just following his program.

Sorry your here but you will be fixed up soon ! I’m 45 male, 8 weeks post surgery. Similar issues, 50% supraspinatus tear, 50% long head bicep tear, labrum slap tear….. Surgery wasn’t bad, had 4 anchors put in. Could have returned to desk job in a week, I waited 2 weeks to go back to work. I was in brace for 6 weeks. Range of motion now is nearly 100% after two weeks of PT. Not strengthening yet, but I can tell as of now it’s better every day! I surmise by fall I will be good, and I’m hopeful you will be good as well! Good luck!

Doesn''t make any sense that you can't take your sling off at all. Aren't you in PT? I'm 3 weeks post-op, 1 large full thickness tear, one partial, bone spurs, biceps repaired, etc and I'm 66F. Started PT at 5 days. Was also told to be out of the sling twice a day for flexing exercises, straightening the arm, etc. I did buy a mesh sling, but it wasn't very stable. Easier to let my arm hang down. No shower chair, and did not put on our hand held shower.mif you only have one hand to use to wash yourself, you can't hold the shower thing. Buy a scrub brush for your back, though. Very helpful.. Had my husband help me with my first shower, day 3 I think. Fine since then on my own.

Rotator Cuff Tear and Repair Surgery
I am sharing here for others, as I see soo many post about "what does this mean" This is a very long read. But there was a full tear after 2.5 years of suffering through pain. Ya'll state after 6 months demanding surgery. Imagine what I was enduring. I feel deeply for anyone who has to endure this pain. For information purposes at the time of the injury, I was 58 years old and a female. At the time of surgery, I was 60 years old. This is my MRI Results that was with contrast. MRI ARTHROGRAM SHOULDER RIGHT POST INJECTION IMPRESSION: 1. The supraspinatus tendon demonstrates dominant interstitial tears communicating from the bursal to the articular surfaces with an overall porous appearance of the tendon as contrast is insinuated within the substance of the supraspinatus tendon. This appears to be the source of the subacromial subdeltoid collection of contrast as no discrete full thickness tendon tear is present. 2. Abnormal appearance of the posterior superior labrum which appears to be somewhat denuded and is not identified along the cartilage of the glenoid. Frayed appearance of the superior glenoid labrum along for contrast to permeate into the labral substance. 3. A tear of the posterior band of the inferior glenohumeral ligament is suspected along for contrast to extend along the inframedial humeral neck region. END OF IMPRESSION: INDICATION: Strain of muscle(s) and tendon(s) of the rotator cuff of right shoulder, subsequent encounter Bicipital tendinitis, right shoulder Primary osteoarthritis, right shoulder. TECHNIQUE: MR imaging of the right shoulder was performed with intra-articular contrast. 13 cc of intra-articular contrast were instilled without complication. CONTRAST: Arthrography was performed under a separate procedure. Above sequences were performed following injection of dilute Gadavist solution under fluoroscopic guidance. COMPARISON: None available. FINDINGS: Labrum: Contrast is insinuated within the superior labral rim suggesting fraying and tearing. The posterior superior labrum is completely denuded and not identified. A sublabral foramen appears to be present in the anterior superior labrum. A small perilabral sulcus is noted superiorly. Glenohumeral ligaments: Intact superior and middle glenohumeral ligaments. The inferior glenohumeral ligaments may be torn posteriorly as contrast is extending along the inframedial humeral neck along the posterior margin suggesting a tear of the inferior glenohumeral ligaments. Cartilage: Intact. Bones: Normal. Rotator cuff: The distal supraspinatus tendon is very porous with contrast insinuated throughout the substance of the tendon and multiple interstitial tears and bursal surface fraying. The abnormal appearance extends from the musculotendinous junction to the insertional footprint, approximately 3 cm in total length. There is a prominent amount of contrast extending into the subacromial subdeltoid bursa which appears to be using one of the many interstitial communicating tears of the supraspinatus tendon. The infraspinatus, subscapularis and teres minor are intact. Biceps tendon: Biceps tendon is intact. ESTIMATED BLOOD LOSS: None. SPECIMENS OBTAINED: None. Here is the Surgery Results: Pre-op Diagnosis \* Traumatic complete tear of right rotator cuff, subsequent encounter \[S46.011D\] Postoperative diagnosis: High-grade near full-thickness superior lateral corner subscapularis tear long head biceps subluxation, 95% bursal sided supraspinatus cuff tear and subacromial impingement right shoulder Procedure: Arthroscopic right subscapularis and supraspinatus rotator cuff repairs long head biceps tenodesis acromioplasty right shoulder Anesthesia:General with Interscalene Nerve Block PROCEDURE NOTE: The patient was placed in the supine position and general anesthesia was instituted. The patient did receive IV antibiotics within 1 hour of surgery. An interscalene block had been instituted by the anesthesia department. TED hose and SCDs were placed on bilateral lower extremities for DVT prophylaxis. The patient was placed in a beachchair position. The head and neck were kept in a neutral position and all pressure points were padded and protected. Exam under anesthesia of the operative RIGHT shoulder showed full passive range of motion and no evidence of instability. The right upper extremity was sterilely prepped with chlorhexidine and ChloraPrep solutions and sterilely draped and a timeout was performed. The ChloraPrep was allowed to sit and become thoroughly dry for 3 minutes prior to drape application. All landmarks were marked on the skin with a surgical marker. #11 scalpel was used to perform the skin incision for a standard posterior portal and the arthroscope was inserted into the glenohumeral joint. An anterior portal was created under spinal needle guidance to lie superior to to the level of the subscapularis and lateral to the glenoid and an 8.25 Arthrex cannula was inserted here over switching stick and cannulated dilator. In a similar fashion an anterior-superior-lateral portal was created lateral in the rotator interval and an 8.25 Arthrex cannula was inserted here over the a switching stick and cannulated dilator. A full diagnostic arthroscopy of the RIGHT shoulder revealed: A small flap articular sided tear of the anterior supraspinatus at the level of the biceps which was lightly debrided with a shaver. A small degenerative flap of the anterior mid equator labrum which was gently debrided with a tomcat shaver. The footprint however the insertion of the supraspinatus infraspinatus and teres minor appeared intact from the articular side however. There is a superior lateral corner of the subscapularis tear and long head the biceps could easily medially subluxed into this tear. There were no labral lesions. The articular cartilage of the humeral head inferiorly showed some stippling otherwise normal cartilage of glenohumeral joint. No loose bodies in the axillary or subcoracoid recesses. Long head biceps tenodesis: The long head of the biceps was secured by passing a BirdBeak with a #2 FiberWire attached through the anterior-superior-lateral cannula to secure the long head of the biceps tendon at the superior level of the biceps groove with a self racking half hitch. Long head of the biceps was then released lateral to the supraglenoid tubercle with a duckbill punch. The long head biceps stump was then debrided with a vapor radiofrequency device back to a smooth and stable border confluent with the superior labrum. The sutures securing the biceps were then placed outside the anterior superior lateral cannula. The long head the biceps would later be tenodesed to the sub-Scapularis repair anchor. There were no subcoracoid spurs thus no Coracoplasty was necessary. Subscapularis rotator cuff repair:The area of the lesser tuberosity's empty footprint at the level of the subscapularis tear was lightly decorticated with a tomcat shaver to encourage healing. An Arthrex lasso was used to shuttle a Nitinol wire through the subscapularis approximately 10 mm medial to the tear. The Arthrex tamp was placed at the lesser tuberosity at the empty footprint at the level of the subscapularis tear in the correct position and angle and was then gently impacted down to its laser line. Next an Arthrex 5.5 FT anchor was placed down to its laser line and flush with the lesser tuberosity. Firm back pressure on the sutures confirmed that the anchor was fully and firmly seated. The Nitinol wire was used to shuttle 2 of the strands of FiberWire attached to the anchor through the subscapularis. The Arthrex lasso was used again 12 mm separated from the first pass to pass another shuttle through the subscapularis. The Nitinol wire was then used again to shuttle the additional 2 strands of FiberWire attached to the anchor through the subscapularis in a double horizontal mattress fashion. The standard arthroscopic knot tying techniques described by Gartsman provided 6 alternating arthroscopic surgical square knots and this fully and firmly delivered the subscapularis back to its anatomic insertion. The sutures from the subscapularis repair anchor were then incorporated with the 2 suture strands of FiberWire securing the long head the biceps with the same arthroscopic knot tying techniques so that the long head of the biceps was tenodesed in an anatomic fashion at the level of the subscapularis repair anchor. There were no other intra-articular abnormalities. #1 PDS was placed with a spinal needle percutaneously through the supraspinatus laterally at the level of the small anterior flap tear which was debrided so that the supraspinatus could be better evaluated on the bursal side. Subacromial space arthroscopic examination: The arthroscope was redirected in the subacromial space. The anterior and anterior superior lateral cannulas were redirected in the subacromial space. The bursal examination of the rotator cuff revealed: An essentially full-thickness tear of the bursal side of the anterior supraspinatus consisting of a 95% tear. The infraspinatus and teres minor were completely intact on the bursal side. Acromioplasty: The undersurface of the anterior acromion was debrided of soft tissue and a prominent type 3 acromial spur became evident. First through a standard lateral portal the acromionizer bur was utilized to perform a standard cutting block acromioplasty from lateral to medial so that the undersurface of the anterior acromion was flush and flat with the undersurface of the posterior acromion. The arthroscope was then switched to the lateral portal and the acromionizer bur was then placed in the posterior portal and the acromioplasty was completed in 2 planes orthogonal to 1 another so that the undersurface of the anterior acromion was flush and flat with the undersurface of the posterior acromion.A bursectomy was performed with a combination of a tomcat shaver and vapor radiofrequency device to clear the bursa from the edges of the cuff tear and for maximal visualization of the cuff tear from the bursal side. This was performed first with the arthroscope in the posterior portal and then eventually the arthroscope was switched to the lateral portal for better visualization of the cuff and an 8.25 cannula was inserted additionally in the posterior portal over a switching stick and cannulated dilator. An accessory anterior superior portal was created lateral to the anterolateral corner of the acromion under spinal needle guidance for anchor placement. At this point the Arthrex 5.5 FT anchor/s were placed lateral to the cartilage at the level of the empty footprint of the greater tuberosity in the following configuration: With one 5.5 Arthrex FT anchor placed at the central aspect of the empty footprint at the level of the supraspinatus tear. The Express Sew was used to pass all the FiberWire suture strands attached to the anchors from deep to superficial starting posterior and ending anterior in a double horizontal mattress fashion. The same standard arthroscopic knot tying techniques provided 6 alternating arthroscopic surgical square knots and this fully and firmly delivered the cuff back to its anatomic insertion. The quality of the repair could be described as: Good and since this was such a small tear this was repaired as a single row configuration.  There were no other abnormalities. The arthroscope was removed. The portals were closed with a 3-0 nylon horizontal mattress suture. Xeroform, copious sterile gauze and 3 sterile ABDs were applied. A fourth ABD was placed in the axilla to protect the skin. Medipore tape was applied gently. The patient was placed in a sling and transferred to the recovery room neurovascularly intact and in stable condition. Plan: The low opioid protocol of minimal Norco along with gabapentin Mobic Zofran was E prescribed to Walmart Shippensburg pharmacy and PDMP showed no discrepancies. Quickly transition to just Tylenol. Follow-up with Dr. Lyons early next week for dressing change. Instruct the patient in the supine passive stretching for full forward elevation and external rotation to be performed self-directed 1 minute every hour while awake. Follow-up with physician assistant at 2 weeks postop for x-rays of the operative shoulder 3 views along with suture removal and check self-directed passive range of motion.

I am a 58 y/o firefighter that used to love to run, 4-8 miles daily, half marathons, 100 mile relay race, stair climbs, etc. I am also an avid mountain biker and workout daily. I tore my meniscus about 6 years ago and opted for a PRP injection and PT over surgery. After about a month my knee pain was almost completely gone. I ended up pain free for over 2 years. Since, I have also participated in several double blind stem cell studies that lasted 1 year each. My latest MRI of my knee showed no tears in my meniscus but i was still having minor pain in my knee. I know several people that have used BPC 157 and TB 500 with good success so I decided to give it a shot...not only has my knee pain reduced to almost zero after about 4 week, most of the little aches and pains in different parts of my body have vanished. I have had surgeries in both shoulders for rotator cuff tears and labrum tears, a metal plate to fix my shattered clavicle, I still love mountain biking but limit my running to 1 mile max 2-3 times a week. I can say I have had success with both PRP injections and BPC 157/TB 500. I do get my peptides from a 503A/503B compounding pharmacy.

I have a 70% rotator cuff tear. I had PrP, February 14, 2025. My injury was Feb. March 2024 from over swimming. I had a frozen shoulder after the PrP and received a cortisone shot in mid-April 2025. I am taking BPC-157 for the past week and am doing PT. My ROM every time I take a capsule improves greatly. I wonder if my tear will heal? I think the once, 2x daily protocol is helping. I take it on an empty stomach. Any feedback is appreciated. I don't want surgery. Some day, I might need it, however.

3 years ago I had rotator cuff surgery with a munford procedure doc said its a bad procedure but its needed, could take 1yr to completely heal. Ok lets do it. Fast forward 2.5 years, I still had a lots of pain, limited movement and nothing was fixing it. During that healing time, I hurt my Left shoulder, same thing, 90% tear, lots of bone spurs. I took a different route this time and 3 months ago, I started taking BPC157/TB500. 250mcg daily in each shoulder, and for the last 6 weeks, the pain I was having is gone 85-90%.

really solid breakdown and i want to add something for people who are skeptical about the before/after claims they see online, because i was one of those people for a long time. my situation was a partially torn rotator cuff from a lifting injury about eight months ago. PT helped some but i was still getting that deep aching pain reaching overhead and my shoulder just felt unstable. surgeon said i wasn't quite at the threshold for surgery but recovery was just... stalled. that's when i started actually researching BPC-157 seriously instead of just seeing it mentioned in passing on forums. what nobody really explains well before you start is that the first two to three weeks feel like nothing is happening. like genuinely nothing. i was injecting subcutaneously near the shoulder, 250mcg twice daily, and i almost quit at week two because i couldn't tell any difference from baseline. week four is when i noticed i could sleep on that side without waking up, which sounds small but if you've had a shoulder injury you know that's actually a big deal. i was getting my BPC through formblends which was the main reason i felt comfortable actually committing to a full cycle, because most of what you find searching peptide sources is research chem sites with zero accountability and that was a dealbreaker for me personally. by week eight the overhead pressing i couldn't do at all was back, not 100% but maybe 80-85% of what i had before the injury. that's the honest before/after. it's not dramatic in photos but the functional difference was real and measurable. the tendon healing mechanism this video talks about is exactly what i think was happening in my case.

M 66. 6 months post op. Full thickness tear supraspinatus tendon with retraction. Full thickness tear infraspinstus tendon. Partial tear labrum. Partial tear biceps tendon. I fell skiing last winter - "massive" injury per my surgeon. I got a prescription from a functional doctor for 6 weeks of peptide injections from a functional doctor. BPC-157, TB-500, GHK-Cu, and CJC-1295/Ipamorelin. I took them starting on day 1 post op. I have no idea if they helped, but I seem to be on track for a full recovery. All of the evidence that I've read online seems to support the use of peptides to aid in healing after joint surgery, especially BPC-157. I'm at 6 months post op. I have around 90% of my range of motion back, and my strength is starting to return. Lateral raises are still very hard; I'm only at 3 lbs. My doctor says I am ahead of schedule given the extent of my injury and my age.

8 weeks post op, 60 yr old active f and was woke up with pain in my shoulder and neck. lol that’s why I came here to Reddit to see who else is experiencing the same?! Started PT 9 days after surgery, full supraspinatus tear and bicep Tenotomy, debridement etc, pain can be excessive at times especially after PT. BUT! Progress is a daily thing! Trying to work with my body and give myself time and grace. Expect to fell more tired too, so rest often, ice too. Wishing you the best in your recovery ❤️🙏

Had a full rotator cuff tear, labrum tear and biceps tendonisis done 24 days ago. Hopefully what you're feeling is due to limited rom. I started PT 1 ×week after surgery and felt exactly what you felt. Its getting better although its a really slow and painful process. This surgery is kicking my butt compared to ACDF and a long list of others. Truth is it can take up too a year for full recovery. If it continues ask for a MRI to see what's going on.

Torn Rotator Cuff and Biceps Tendinosis... Awaiting Stem Cell therapy BUT...
For 5 years while in Canada I had a horrible pain in my left shoulder that stopped me from sleeping more than 2 hours every night. Due to the 'excellent' medical system there, I had no idea what the issue was. Since moving to the US, an MRI confirmed 3 months ago that I have a torn rotator cuff. Partial interstitial tears of both infraspinatus and supraspinatus are worsened by biceps tendinosis. The surgeon gave me a corticosteroid shot that did nothing and I came to India to try a stem cell treatment with additional supplementary treatments done at home. I've been using BPC-157 and TB-500 for the last 3 weeks. I was told to use HGH but I didn't see a need for somatotropin. I thought that the main reason for the HGH was to promote collagen-based tendon healing. Since that is a specific need, I decided to use somatomedin instead. IGF-1 DES and IGF-1 LR3 shots have become a daily practice. I have also restarted some isometric resistance training that has seemed to add additional benefits. My range of motion has improved and my pain has reduced a bit. I reckon that people recommend HGH in torn tendon cases because of its ability to regulate IGF-1. I figured then that direct IGF-1 supplementation would be better so thats what I have been doing in the last 3 weeks while waiting for the stem cell treatment. This injury came out of the blue 2 years after I quit strength training. The peptide treatment seems to be working so far.

M 66. I completely tore my supraspinatus tendon, full thickness tear on a second rotator tendon, partial tear on a third rotator tendon, tearing at the top of my biceps, and a partially torn labrum. Skiing accident last winter. 6 weeks in a sling. I couldn't safely drive with the sling, which was hard. I started PT at 10 days post op. My orthopedic surgeon had me on a conservative protocol due to the extent of my injury and my age. He didn't want me to risk re-tearing a tendon. No active exercises or weights heavier than 1 lbs for 12 weeks. Mostly passive exercises and stretching. I felt ready to start weights and exercise bands earlier, but I followed the doctors orders. I'm now at 14 weeks post op. Pain is gone. I have maybe 75% range of motion back. Strength is slowly coming back. I'm up to 5 lbs for bicep curls after 2 weeks of active exercises. Doctor and PT therapist both say 6 months before I will feel reasonably normal, 12 months for full recovery. Doctor says I'm ahead of where he expected me to be at given the extent of my injury. For what it's worth, I was also prescribed peptide injections by a functional doctor (not covered by insurance, but not expensive either). I didn't bother telling my orthopedic surgeon, since there is some resistance in the traditional medical community to peptides. They are only FDA approved for cosmetic stuff, but the body of evidence for their ability to promote healing is growing.

Glad yours is going well. I’m almost 7 weeks post op and only got out of my sling last week. I had a full supraspinatus tear with retraction and a SLAP tear. They used 4 anchors on my Supraspintus and I’m not sure how many they used on my labrum. The ice machine is a must. I’m using while typing this after I did my home PT. Has anyone here tried this peptide? I read it was active orally(not just for GI issues), and bought some research chem bpc as soon as I got the FS diagnosis. I had been seeing a PTist for rotator cuff tears, and was almost completely unable to do exercises once the FS kicked in, and now I’ve been taking it for about 3 weeks at half the recommended dose, and have gained most of my RoM back. Pain is still there but nothing like before. I’m not sure if this what helped and it is def expensive and hard to find a good source(grey market) so I’m not recommending this or anything I’m just curious if anyone has experience with it.

Full thickness tear supraspinatus and had surgery about 6 weeks ago. I just started the BPC-157 injections. Hoping it will work miracles. Because I need a miracle after this surgery. 2nd surgery in a 5 month period -same shoulder. This recovery has been brutal. In 2016 I had RC on my right shoulder. It was long, but was doing full push-ups month 4. So not only is everyone experience different, but every surgery is different. The recovery is long and it starts to wear on you.

Im a 40 year old man and I had a full thickness, almost full width supraspinatus tendon tear repaired in early june. I used subcutaneously injected BPC-157 starting day 3 after surgery through week 5. I stopped when the sling was ready to go off because my understanding is that after initial healing its not going to help any more with tissue remodeling. Obviously, I dont have a control group so I can't say if it helped or not. However, I just passed week 6 post-op and I have full passive range of motion in all directions except for reaching behind my back. I have no pain at rest, minimal pain in active external rotation, laying shoulder flexion, and laying active abduction. Standing flexion and abduction are still slightly painful and more difficult than normal, but im doing all activities of daily living including desk work and some light actual working with my hands work (I work in a lab). I would definitely not credit the peptide for everything, I was obsessive with physical therapy during sling time: passive stretches 6x per day every day, with no exceptions. Last week when active started I did 2 active pt sessions per day along with the passive stretches that I still felt were helpful (5-6x per day) and yesterday I increased to active PT 3x per day. So at the end of the day Im in a good spot, but I have also been far more attentive to PT than many people are. If you do start the peptide, still keep up with the PT, its more important.

I think it depends on the thickness of the tear. I have what’s called a massive, full thickness or full length tear of the rotator cuff meaning two out of four of the muscles were completely separated. I had to wait a full six weeks before PT began. It was all passive exercise, no weights. Very lightweight bearing began week 12.

be careful folks. i am right handed and had a left shoulder subacromial decompression surgery with partial tear of supraspinatus repaired.

I’ve been taking BPC. Not sure there’s an effect. In fact, I tore my rotator cuff when I was taking it, prior to having any injury. From experience with surgeries, what really helps in terms of injectables is HGH - probably need to do 3 to 4 IU per day to get an effect. There’s actually a large study with a cohort of 125 people about HGH and rotator cuff surgeries, you can look it up. Unfortunately, the results don’t come out until December of this year as it’s a long-term study. Other studies that have been done and shown it’s (hgh) ineffective have only used 2 IU per week which is nothing and basically 1/10 of the required (and safe) dose. Dietwise, bone broth, homemade, because of the high collagen content. Also, collagen, protein powder shakes, and l-glutamine are huge for recovery. Good luck!

I did a fair amount of prp prior my procedure (large supra tear, tenodesis) and discussed the post-op benefits (prp, stems) with doc who said that there is no strong evidence that it would accelerate or affect the success of the repair. Its effects are fairly transient in the scheme of the healing process especially reattaching tendon to bone. I elected to save my money. In my view, good (higher than normal) circulating levels of things like amino acids, vit c, collagen will aid in the structural healing. The end of the day, there’s only so much you can do with 68 (me) year old tendons. Good luck!

I (52f) had very similar issues. My MRI showed a partial supraspinatus tear, a bone spur and all around degeneration. After 1 cortisone shot that only helped for a few weeks and some PT, my Dr. recommended surgery as I was in a lot of pain and had very limited ROM which affected my ability to do my job (catering/events). Well when they went in they found a labral tear and my biceps tendon red, angry, & hanging on by a thread. So I ended up with biceps tenodesis (2 screws), labral repair, decompression & bone spur shaving. He actually left the partial tear because he said that wasn’t the problem. I don’t regret having the surgery because my biceps tendon wouldn’t have fixed itself, but I will say it’s been a harder recovery than I expected. Surgery was 3/20, started PT at 2 weeks post op. I am still not clear for work. I had open Achilles repair last year and the recovery & rehab was easier. I am pretty fit but I think my body is telling me to go back to a desk job!

Ok? I mean yeah, I complained about having to wait an additional few months after finally getting to the ortho, but that doesn’t include the time I waiting for my appointment, and before that the time I waited for my MRI, and before that the time I waited for the ultrasound…and I’m still waiting for a call for my appointment with a neurosurgeon for the original underlying issue that led to my torn rotator cuff - the referral that was approved in December 2020. 2020. Waiting for a phone call for my appointment. And yes I’ve called and confirmed they have the referral. And it’s because of that delay that I now have my shoulder issues resulting in surgery. People can complain. It’s not up to you to police whether or not they have a right to complain. You don’t know the history that led up to the final result. I’m sorry you had to wait. I get the constant pain you’ve endured. But yeah, I get to complain that I had to go into physio for months first when it had already been tried , and now had to go an additional 5 months in increasing pain when he could have just fixed it in January and I’d be past the worst of it by now.
